WDT receives US Army Port Security Barrier Installation for Force Protection
March 27, 2003

WDT is proud to announce the receipt of a major contact with the US Army to provide its Small Craft Intrustion Barrier ("SCIB™") for a port security application at Mare Island, Vallejo, CA. After many years of development and refinement, WDT SCIB™ has been fully refined and commercialized. The SCIB™ has now been embraced by multiple branches of the US Military, including the US Navy, US Army & US Coast Guard. This installation at Mare Island is the first of many installations that WDT expects to install with the US Army over the course of the next few years. WDT completed its first installation with the US Navy in November 2002 at Navy Amphibious Base Little Creek.

"The heightened terrorist threats and Homeland Security awareness generated by the "War on Terrorism" has led the US Army, US Navy and many other federal, state and local agencies to enter into serious discussions with WDT to provide port security barriers for various maritime assets" says Dennis G. Smith, CEO, WDT.

WDT looks forward to continued favorable discussions with US, state and local government agencies about providing homeland port security protection for critical US maritime infrastructure assets.
