Wave Dispersion Technologies Wins 'Technology Best Small Business Award for 2004' from Michigan Small Business Technology Development Center for Maritime Port Security Buoys and Barriers

Sylvan Lake, MI - April 8, 2005 - Wave Dispersion Technologies, Inc. (WDT), a private maritime technology company, is pleased to announce that it has won the 'Technology Best Small Business 2004' award from the Michigan Small Business Technology Development Center (MI-SBTDC). WDT's WhisprWave® floating articulated breakwater technology affords erosion control protection to shoreline beaches, coastal marinas, anchorages, and other areas subject to destructive or annoying erosionary wave/wake forces. Naval defense and security applications for WhisprWave® include port security barriers and force protection, physical deterrence and incursion prevention. Current customers and contracts feature the US Navy, US Army, US Coast Guard, US Army Corps of Engineers, the US Department of the Interior, and the States of Washington & Louisiana.

WDT received the award at a Regional Partners Meeting and Reception on April 7th, at the St. Regis Hotel. The Regional Partners Meeting is an event during which the MI-SBTDC acknowledges the bankers, service providers, and co-operating organizations that provide support to the organization as well as highlighting the recent successes of their clients.
