Dispersion Technologies Receives Awards for Excellence in Procurement
for Floating Water Barrier SYLVAN LAKE, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/06/2004 -- Wave Dispersion Technologies, Inc. (WDT) is pleased to announce it has received awards for excellence in procurement from Senator Carl Levin, Senator Debbie Stabenow and Congressman Thaddeus McCotter. The October 1, 2004 awards were given as part of the $1billion in Procurement Celebration for the Schoolcraft College Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), where WDT was recognized for its WhisprWave® technology and the contracts achieved to date. Current customers and contracts include: US Navy, US Coast Guard, US Army, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Department of Interior, States: WA & LA. Local Michigan businesses won government contracts estimated at $1 billion with the help of the PTAC. PTACs were created through a Department of Defense grant to help businesses win contracts with federal, state and local governments, thus creating jobs, stimulating the economy and retaining local companies. Michigan PTACs also receive funding from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). Wave Dispersion Technologies has been developing the floating water barrier, WhisprWave®, for several years.
