Vessel Exclusion Barrier
The VEB™ system consists of WhisprWave® polyethylene modules and 6 stainless steel cables encased in synthetic rubber tubing. The versatility and strength of the VEB create a formidable and stable platform for mounting sensors, fences, concertina wire, nets, etc. and allowing for gated sections of extended lengths without sacrificing its effectiveness as a barrier.
The Vessel Exclusion Barrier™ (VEB™) has unparalleled durability and has been designed for the most adverse marine conditions, including winds of 100 MPH. The VEB™ is a robust barrier utilizing a higher freeboard component than the SCIB™.
Loads are carrier by 6 stainless steel cables encased in 2 inch EPDM rubber tubing. These same cables and extremely durable WhisprWave modules create a significant barrier to intrusions and/or entry by unauthorized, stray or threatening vessels.
The VEB™ can be configured as a swinging gate with end point attachment slings to provide for an enclosed protected area, but with the possibility of opening the area immediately. The VEB™ can be swung on a pivot point to allow for large craft to pass. In this way a base or facility can be completely enclosed and protected, but ready for the quick movement of large vessels if conditions require.
The VEB™ can be used as a platform to mount a multitude of security technologies including but not limited to warning signs, thermal video surveillance devices, anti-intrusion instruments, above and below water swimmer detection devices, sonar, and capture nets both above and below the surface.
